E. Desmond Taylor, a native Houstonian and Vernon G. Yancy of Los Angeles, California are Howard University graduates and Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity brothers who have an amplified passion for mentorship, service, and personal development.

 

In February 2021, the two realized their shared desire to expand the narrative of Vernon’s So Organic, So Suave (SOSS®) collection, which specializes in grooming and lifestyle essentials that uplift Black men and Black families, to become more inclusive of young men. The importance of self-care routines and personal value at a young age was the focus, which started the journey of publishing a picture book.

 

From that, “I Am King” was born. 

 

Foreseeing the impact of “I Am King”, Desmond and Vernon then launched Limitless & Purposeful Publishing to serve as the premier publishing company for storytellers committed to elevating confidence and self-love in the next generation.
